The IDEA Lab is a client-based engineering design laboratory that prototypes and designs innovative solutions to complex
medical, mechanical, electrical, and computational challenges.
- Directed a team of four engineers in a project aimed at advancing research related to neuromorphic
locomotion using FPGAs and microcontrollers.
- Simultaneously worked on an individual project focused on redesigning the hardware and software of
an interactive LED panel wall, as well as a team project that used consumer data to redesign a local study space in the community.
- Worked closely with clients to ensure that design specifications are being met throughout the design process.
- Gained extensive knowledge on the engineering design process, including IP, client meetings,
prototyping techniques, team leadership, time management and project streamlining.
IT Consultant
University of Pittsburgh (9/2023 - 5/2024)
The Pitt IT Help Desk aids students, faculty, and alumni with all technical and software-related
issues that may arise with any Pitt-related systems & infrastructure.
- Assisted over 250 individuals monthly by troubleshooting their issues and recommending the proper solution.
- Oversaw network gateway management and MAC address whitelisting across a network of 34,000 connected persons.
- Engaged in both technical hardware assistance and software troubleshooting.
Full-Stack Developer
Great Neck Park District (5/2023 - 8/2023)
The Great Neck Park District is a public agency responsible for managing and maintaining parks,
recreational facilities, and various community services in the Great Neck area of Long Island, New York.
The district serves the residents of the Great Neck Peninsula and is governed by an elected board of commissioners.
- Singlehandedly overhauled the entire Park District digital infrastructure from a brand-new SQLite database to a polished front-end website.
- Drove a 200% improvement in the database load time and increased the compatibility to 5x the number of operating systems & browsers by identifying the ideal tech stack to support the district's needs.
- Developed bespoke developer features that allowed staff to access manual database adjustments and backup & restore the system.
- Wrote documentation covering 12 modules, including the Python libraries, use guide, & troubleshooting.
